731 by Craig Saunders

Finished a novella recently named 731. If it's accepted, I should think I'll post more. But for now...

R.I.P. 731...

24th May - 2nd June 2014.

No pictures...you might want to look them up, but I won't post the pictures here. Bit too grim, even for me.

Love you!

Also by Craig Saunders...new stuff!

Here's some other stuff I've been up to...
Mankind has fallen to darkness and a new breed rules the earth. The age of the vampire has begun.
Few survived the fall of man. Those who remain to witness the darkening of the world live by the gun or live in fear. There is no middle ground.
The cities lay in ruin after the last war and vampires have inherited the blasted remnants.
And yet some will not cower in the night. They fight because there is nothing left to them. They fight without hope of peace or victory.
In a war with no end, in a land without succour, what chance do the survivors have? The war was lost as soon as it was begun. But there is still the past...and perhaps, a future.
And through it all, one man stands vigil.

The old king dies, murdered with only the moon to bear witness.
Now, a tyrant rules the land of Sturma in an iron grip, and a terrifying new threat masses across the ocean on the world of Rythe. The land, and humanity itself, balances on the brink of destruction.
But hope remains, for the line of kings lives on in one man.
The hunted man. The master of the blade. The leader of the lost.
The Outlaw King.

The Line of Kings has passed...but it is not forgotten.
The last King of Sturma charges his friend, the thief Roskel Farinder, to become protector of the realm. Roskel is the last man who should be trusted with anything. But he has a quest to complete, and there is honour among thieves.
On his quest Roskel will learn not just what it means to be a thief, but what it takes to be a man...
What it takes to become The Thief King.

There are no more kings on Sturma. The Thief King, Roskel Farinder, remains the Lord Protector of the country, but he is no king.
The Hierarchy is amassing on Sturman borders...it is left to true heroes to save Sturma and Rythe herself. But this is a battle that cannot be won with the blade and bow.
Yet there are still witches...still those that have power, that hold to the old ways.
In the face of overwhelming odds, only a woman's magic can save the world and a woman's magic is a terrible thing.
Selana, the head of the Witches' Covenant, knows this only too well. To stand a chance of defeating the Hierophant and his forces, she must call forth the most terrible magic of all.
She must show the world the power of The Queen of Thieves.

The weight of legend pushes the world of Rythe toward a cataclysm. On the side of light are four heroes unlike any the world has ever seen.
Renir, a man ignorant of his destiny.
Shorn, a warrior unparalleled.
Drun, a priest of the Order of Sard, possessed of untold power.
And across the wide seas, Tirielle, orphaned and alone but for a staunch and strange companion.
They are the key to Rythe’s salvation from a threat even suns fear.
The return of the Sun Destroyers.

Dark forces rule the world...yet, even as heroes battle to the death, even as terrible magic rends the world, there is one last hope - the saviour of this world, perhaps all worlds, is the greatest mage of an age. His is an arcane and powerful magic, but he is imprisoned for all time.
If Shorn, Renir, Tirielle and the Paladins of Sard are to save the world, they must first save the wizard.
But he is terrible beyond belief. Ancient beyond mortal years. Insane.
A traitor to his own kin, and the last of his kind on the world of Rythe.
His name is Caeus.

The Evolution War
Against the backdrop of an apocalyptic, ideological war spanning the universe, a ship, a hunter and a thief take on a quest to end the war forever: the search for the Cascade emitter.

The odds are high, but then the ship is Orpal, the most intelligent ship ever to sail the solar seas. The hunter is the greatest in the Suh’traeti galaxy. His name is Kyle, and he is not alone. The thief is Cetee, beautiful and more deadly than anyone knows.

To win, they must learn to work together. To survive, they must be lucky, too, because their enemies are legion.

And the prize? To lead the universe to Evolution.

The Seven Point Star
The Seven Point Star is a irreverent modern-day chronicle of a man named Jesus. Is he Christ, returned? Just a man? Does it, should it, matter?

With the apocalypse in sight, the Devil tries to convince Jesus that it is the Son of God who heralds the end of the world, not he. The Seven Point Star is a mystery that delves into the end of days, the second coming...and the Father of Lies. Should Satan himself be the last one to tell the truth...who left but Jesus would believe him?

The Gold Ring
Jake Black's a man on the edge, but he doesn't know it. He and his friends go on a tea and drug-fueled investigation into a local murder. Cheap hobbies are hard to come by when you're unemployed and your friends are all just a little nuts.

A novel of the nineties, 'The Gold Ring' is a fever dream of a man cracking for love, a depraved comedy, and a sordid mystery with an easy smile and a hidden heart.
